My Story
After training for 5+ years, I felt like I was getting no where. I trained consistently, week to week (6x a week), and barely had any form of progress to show.
Over the years, I went from 60kgs, right up to 77kgs (at my heaviest), but certainly didn’t look healthy at all. The skinny fat genetics didn’t help, with a chubby face and skinny arms (see photos below). I definitely gained a fair bit of strength for my weight (S: 160kg, D: 185kg, B: 105kg), but this was getting me no where in terms of my physique. I certainly had no idea how to train effectively, or anything to do with nutrition (I just ate whatever I felt like).
In the last 18 months, I was sick and tired of getting no where in the gym, despite never missing a day at the gym (besides holidays), I got professional help. I learnt what it means to work towards a ‘goal’, and building a routine that is in line with that. I finally had structure, something to stick to religiously, with no deviation. And finally the results came. And did they come quick. My training routine was efficient, targetted and systematic. My diet was on-point, and the weight just slid off, while I retained my muscle mass. In previous years where I’ve tried to ‘lose weight’, I lost a lot of muscle (and strength). At AlphaOne, we’re the best at ensuring you retain your muscle mass, and drop the fat. We’ll then build you back up in a lean gain phase, and keep the fat off.
